Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who are the booklets for?
A: Our range of booklets are aimed at doctors, clinicians,
physicians, medical students, healthcare decision makers and in some
cases to anyone who is interested in learning about health economics
or sub-topics of health economics in a way that doesn’t confuse you.
Our Beginners Guide booklets are aimed at beginners of health
economics, plain and simple! In most cases, the end result of health
economics or the ‘value message’ is often intended for groups or
people who don’t have a health economic background. Our range of
booklets breaks down these barriers to help you understand health
economics in an easy to understand way. To have a sneak peak inside
one of our books, click here.
Q: What size are the booklets?
A: The booklets’ physical size is B5 (176mm x 250mm) and are between
30-50 pages. They are wire ring-bound with a 300gsm card cover and
170gsm silk pages throughout. They are also full colour and have
lots of lovely pictures and graphs in there too! To have a sneak
peak inside, click here. Different sizes and binding are available
for branded or customised versions.

order. Shipping for UK is Special Next Day delivery via Royal Mail
and your booklet is insured. For international shipping a signature
is needed upon delivery to guarantee insurance and is shipped via
Royal Mail International. All booklets come in secure packaging to

Q: Are the booklets available elsewhere?
A: Our range of booklets have individual ISBN numbers and are on the
Nielsen BookData database and are therefore available to bookshops
and libraries all over the world. You will find them in reputable
bookshops such as Amazon, Blackwell, Barnes & Noble, WH Smith and
Hammicks Medical to name a few. But why buy from them when you can
get them direct form the publisher (us) with super fast shipping!
Q: Why haven't I heard of health
economics before?
A: Health economics isn’t a new concept; it is a sub-discipline of
economics that is concerned with the efficient allocation of
healthcare resources. In a world where resources are limited, health
economics is used to inform decision-makers on which health
treatments, medicines or technologies to support, and from which
areas to disinvest, in order to maximise population health. Health
economics derives from Health Technology Assessment (HTA).
Q: Why have you published these
booklets?
A: As a medical communications agency, we found there was a lack of
understanding about the topic of health economics, more importantly;
the end result of health economics is often aimed at people without
a health economics background. There is an abundance of health
economics literature out there but a lot of if is written by
academics, for academics. We feel there is a definite need for
health economics to be communicated in a language that people can
easily understand.
Q: What qualifications do you have?
A: We are an established medical communications agency and have been
running since 2001. We have a long history and a wealth of
experience in the field of health economics and pharmacoeconomics
and with our sister company, Greenflint, we have the hands on
experience of health economic data modelling and communication. To
